I help to run and crganise a small local show to give kids and adults who would never normally do showing a fun day out and hopefully give some the confidence to go a little bit further with their showing. We have fun classes open to all ponies regardless of their quality......We try to get good judges, from out of the area so everyone has a fair chance. Imagine my horror when i got "cornered" in the supermarket by a nightmare woman (who, incidently shows her ponies at county level one day and pothunts local's the next, not with novice ponies either...) who was trying to tell me who SHE wanted to judge, so her ponies could come out and win!! she said she would make it worth my while........I told her in no uncertain terms that no way would i be part of that!! She went on to say she wouldn't come to our show as it was crap and she didn't want to be beaten by inferior animals...... LOL I shan't be missing her - what a nasty piece of work. I know she is a very unpopular person due to her nasty ringside comments, so looks like we'll have a great day without her!!

That's the type of conversation you wish you could record and then have it played on loud speaker at a large county level show!

Guest88..Now she is going to be distraught as she may not win anything this year..Just think how inconsiderate you have been and how upset you have made her !!! I woud have had a lot more fun with that lol ....
Well done to you and it should happen a lot more often and these people in my opinion should be identified.. How terrible is that..I would much sooner go and be placed last or not go at all if it meant l had to creepto get a piece of ribbon. I just wouldn't feel that l had won anything.. At least when we do win (not very often l have to say) it is just the most amazing feeling. Nothing made me more proud when we won our very first trophy with our section A in our second year of showing ...I was so shocked and just couldn't believe it..amazing what makes an old man happy !!!

The arrogance!!! What makes her think the ponies that would beat hers are inferior, obviously she knows better than any judge. And if she didn't want to go to your show because it was 'crap' why on earth was she so desperate to ensure she would win.
So glad you put her straight.

there's plenty of "them" in my area
but the even sadder thing is, they are the type of people who maybe qualify or PUK,NCPA,BSPS and are usually only placed in one class at the champs, but usually do T&T, best rider shows, and not competing at yard/charity shows as they think their ponies have won HOYS or something.
We've had plenty of calls from show organisers to arrange a new judge so that competitors don't win under the previous judge that they've just bribed.
