Our little L/R pony does not like the cupling on his bit that attaches to the lead rein, she keeps shaking her head about. We know its this because we have tried everythink else Bit, Teeth, etc,we took the cupling off and put the lead rein onto the noseband and she eas quite happy with that, but, I dont think you can show in the ring BSPS just doing that, can you? Does anyone know, and any suggestions?

yes that is fine, we just attach the leather "hook" to the nose band, that is correct for bsps so your pony is right!

your pony is correct as lorilingo says - the lead rein attaches to the nose you wouldnt be able to do LR classes attached to the bit

hi yu dont use a coupling in lead classes the lead rein as to be attached to nose band, by the leather rein only... so you will be fine dont use the coupling, if you look in bsps rules it does say, we are out of lead rein now but no way would you add a coupling in lead rein just leather lead rein,as will not be laoud with coupling to bit anyway, against rules hope this as help you

'Apologise to pony personally'. thought that was so sweet when I read it. Good luck with your LR pony. Hopefully we'll be out there soon, if I can only get my daughter to master rising trot!

Get her out there anyway if she is over 3. She will love it.
