I love my horses and often want to get a portrait of them done but can never find anything that suits my modern home - does anyone else find this?! I think they are always too traditional
I recently came across an artist called Unbridled Art on facebook who does really modern pieces of equine art - although a commission (although quite large) starts at about £400 and although they are beautiful I want to make sure it's worth it.
Has anyone else invested in art of their horse - do you find that you treasure it?

I have a very traditional watercolour of my old horse which I commissioned the year he died. I treasure it and it fits in with my decor.
I know what you mean though about having something more modern and last year I commissioned a drawing from Julia at Ruff Sketches for my sister's birthday. Its absolutely beautiful and Julia's prices are very reasonable. Look for Ruff Sketches on Facebook. Good luck hope you find what you're looking for x

The medium that is used and the way a painting is framed will drastically alter how it will fit into your house, worth considering when selecting an artist.

There are lots of amazing artists on ebay, so you can compare various styles, from hyper realism to abstract. I look at all of what they have done, some are very good a one sort of style and it very rare that if someone can do horses they can do people.
