We are thinking of using a hack type stallion possibly next year and just wondered what was available. Must have excellent temperament, conformation and movement, not over 15.2hh. Any recommendations please.

He has proven a very successful sire of Hacks, Riding Horses and Hunters with numerous champions up and down the country at county and championship shows.

Etheridge Annie is his first runner under rules and has been placed on her first three outings, proving he's going to be such a versatile stallion.
Leander himself ran four times, being fourth at Kempton, second at Salisbury, then running creditably in the Derby and in a two mile Group 3 at Royal Ascot when he finished lame (as did a number of horses affected by a patch of false going at that meeting).
Leander has beautiful conformation and fabulous movement. He is a super character with an excellent, unflappable temperament. He is a perfect pattern of a Top Class Show Riding Horse, with the movement and self-carriage required.
He also has the substance - almost nine inche bone - and athleticism to produce eventers.
His high class staying pedigree and the ability he showed on the racecourse makes him an excellent prospect as a sire of National Hunt horses and Point-to-Pointers.

Leander's sire, Kalanisi was bred by the Aga Khan and was the Breeders Cup Turf and Champion Stakes winner and the Cartier Older Horse of the Year.
He is the sire of KATCHIT - the winner of the Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham in 2008.
Dam: Guest of Anchor
Leander's dam, Guest of Anchor, won eight races and was placed ten times in France, winning £77,532 and is the dam of one winner so far.

Another I would recommend, I personally knew this boy when he was a youngster, he has such a lovely nature, and of course he qualified for the Cuddy and was a prolific winner in the ring. |
