For dying shirts with dusters, do you all just put them in the wash together or do it a different way as I have read somewhere that someone boils them? Also how many dusters do you use for a nice colour?

I used to do this but found they faded after a couple of washes and had to be redone several times during the show season. So I bought some Dylon machine dye, and did a batch of our shirts along with several for friends. Lovely colour and hasn't faded a bit. Going into second season now.
If you do use dusters, buy the cheapest you can get (supermarket "Value" ranges) as they lose their colour the best!

We do the dusters as well and the dylon sunflower - haven't been brave enough to do it in the washing machine though. With the dusters we normally put 4 in a big saucepan with shirts and boil up and then simmer until the shirts are the right colour! They sometimes can fade a little, but what the hell, just do it again!!

my jods just say nylon or polyester and looking at dylon said it wouldnt work on this they not expensive sticky bums, rhinegold i think, i will save for some more, the pale ones dont actually look bad on a boy on a m & m not a fan of extreme yellows on boys but these just a little pale at mo.
