I have a coloured warmblood 4 year old who is like a naughty school kid! he is in to everything!! and always has been ! he has decided to reach over to the skip which is opposite his field and pull out an old paint pot! He now has paint EVERY WHERE in particular one front leg, in his tail (which is black and the paint is white) and under his belly! And not to mention the new amigo rug!! I tried to wash it off as soon as i went to get him in that evebing and there is no chance! i have tried baby oil and thats not worked either. im not sure what sort of paint it is but it sure aint coming off in a hurry!
Does anyone have any ideas PLEASE as i really want to take him to a show this weekend.
Thanks ;D

I would try washing up liquid as its great for stripping grease and may help with the paint or failing that try a harsher shampoo like Head & Shoulders.

In the olden days they used to put metholated spirits on the sides of horses mouths to tougthen the skin up to accept the bit, I am sure that would remove the paint.

Has it dried? You might be able to pick off like when they cake themselves in mud. Not really sure what else. Good Luck

Gadabout, that is true, i have also seen it being applied to a hack to strengthen its back to take a side saddle.
I am sure if you wash it quickly, avoid eyes etc, and have warm soapy water on standby to wash it of with after it will be fine.
if you are worried do a patch test do you have some pictures - the tinker!

Try HAIRSPRAY.
My pony managed to get the gloss black hoof polish on her white legs the other day. One of the producers told me to use hairspray and it worked. It just seemed to dissolve it away and then run down the leg.

If this ever happens again try "swarfega". It can be bought from DIY shops and comes in a red tub with a black lid. Last year we were very worried when my cat got anti vandal grease paint all over her. We asked the vet what to use and they told us this. We bathed her with this after doing a skin test first and it worked very well. All the black paint came off her and left her gleaming white.
Type into google and it will come up that it is a skin care product to remove vehicle grease and all sorts so is strong enough.
Be careful though and make sure you skin test first but can highly recommend it.
