just wonderd if anyone watched the int sht because i thought it was shocking , the 1 that got pulled in top was fine the rest a bit dodgey but hey , then it humped all the way through its gallop in its show then the next one rong legged i think the other 1 set its jaw and stuck its head in the air , then a coloured did not go well atall the next 1 not to bad then a grey at the end which done a show with no errors quite a true to typ hunter which still stayed last after others in front wrong legged, went disunighted, stoped in show , humped ....... just wonderd if anyone watched??? thanks for your comments

my pony was the one pulled in 2nd and finished 3rd and she did not set her jaw and chuck her head, nor did she wrong leg so im not sure which one you thought was me! she is a 15h shp and not really big enough to do intermediates so i hope thats why you refered to her as dodgey...?
none of the ponies went brilliantly and conformation is 40% so perhaps that is why the winner stayed stop as it is a beautiful horse and the other grey at the end may not have been the judges type.

type or not mistakes should be punished at the end of the day , if it happends to us then we get put down but producers it dont matter

Why don't you go and be a judge then Denzil - then you can make your own decisions. Or, if you're that bothered complain to the Area!!!!!!!

Denzil2008, i agree that type etc should come first and mistakes should be punished, but i totally disagree that producers dont get put down the line if they have made a mistake..what a load of rubbish!!! I witnessed it a show last year when a VERY well known producers pony, who was pulled in first on the go round ended up unplaced, just because her pony had a little spook at some flowers!!! I would love toname pony and producer so i could ask if anyone else saw this but i cant so i wont!! that is just 1 example so quit with the thinking that producers dont get punished because they do! and before anyone jumps on me I AM AN AMATEUR!!!

yes i agree they do some times with most honest judges but alot of time the judges turn a blind eye thats just once when you have seen that but 9 times out of 10 they win !!!!
an example nps area 14 yesterday light and middle weights top producer pulled in top did not go well atall messing about 2nd one comes out nearly kills the ride judge still stays second third horse stunning gave a foot perfect ride droped to 4th stop blaming the exbitors and get some straight fair judges who judge what they see on the day and dont get me wrong ive been under some that do , and i am going to get some comments saying the same but time after time its the same thing producer producer producer..... i mean fair enough if there ponies go well and look stunning like they do but it cant keep happening with them not going well and beating others .....

I agree on that too, sometimes it can take the piddle, but we can only do our best and hope for good judges, we are total amateurs, i even try not to have many friends in horse world i have no idea who most of the judges or competitors are, we just go and get on with it. We are doing an olympia qualifier in less than 2weeks, is our pony good enough? yes definitely, will we win?? what do you think! but my daughter and pony will do their very best and hope they atleast get some recognition for being as good and as gutsy as amateurs to give it a go, many people would not bother travelling 3 hours to be in a class fiull of producers at an olympia qualifier, but we are because we deserve our time in the qualifier as much as anyone else does, producers put alot of time into their work and we could all learn a bit from them, showing will always be crazy but atleast no one can accuse us of not trying!!

denzil if you are suggesting that this judging was facey then i totally disagree. perhaps there were some things i would have done differently throughout the hunter classes but the results were the judges opinion on the day and not facey. if you dont like it dont bother and change your discipline.
nativeponies best of luck for your olympia class and you never know you might get it!

well jo it was facey im afraid because of how the top 2 went in the middleweights then the 3rd one was good and got droped , take a look around yourself at the shows how many in the classes people are changeing because they are fed up of spending all their money not to be judged fair. there was what 5/6 in the classes hunters what was there 2 years ago 14/15 people are realising just take a look at the thread on lets sort the judges out !!!!!!

If you think it was that facey then make a complaint to the relevant society and stop dragging people into the same argument

if it really is that corrupt then quit for crying out loud, or up your game, use the pro's whatever, we ALL have our complaints with showing, a judge got on my nerves on sunday, but you sound really pi**ed off with it and if your not enjoying it that much why do it? i am not having a go at you, simply saying if you really are that unhappy with it find something that makes you smile again, remember why you bought a horse in the first place, because when your hobby makes you unhappy it is time to quit!

denzil i understand SOME judging is facey but it probably always has been and will be. Just on this occasion i feel the winner was in a league of its own and won the class on its confromation. Out of interest what pony do you think should have won the ISHT? I think one of the reasons people are taking ponies out less at the moment is beacuse of the cost of getting there, entries etc...
i am starting to realise showing is not my cup of tea and have made the decision this week to sell my large intermediate and get an M&M WHP. Why dont you do that if it infuriates you that much? You will acheive absolutely nothing having a moan on here and offending people by calling their ponies dodgey will you? I suggest that if you are going to continually complain change ur discipline and stop watching the classes that are "shocking" you so much.
Also what do you mean by "because of how the top 2 went in the middleweights then the 3rd one was good and got droped" - i might just be being stupid but which class is the middleweights?

Tell me if i am wrong but is this not a gossip site !!! where we are all entitled to our personal opinion !!!
So why shoot a person down and tell them to complain to the relevant society when they are only expressing a personal opinion, if you dont like it then dont bother answering , you are the one who obviousley wants an argument

express your opinion by all means, but i dont think calling other peoples ponies "dodgy" is a great idea, that isnt very nice and if yours is so wonderful you wouldnt care if other peoples were dodgy, you'd be too busy enjoying the glory and preparing for all sorts of championship shows, i'd be extremely pi**ed off if someone came on here calling my pony "dodgy" especially by someone who would probably never say it to my face, only on some horse forum!!
