Penny had a terrible start in life, we rescued her from a dodgy breeder and spend 6 months trying to keep her alive. She lost all her coat and was skin and bone, as alergic to all food. She was still not potty trained, at 9 months, as her food went straight through her. All the vets diets didnt work. Finally we tryed BURNS dog food. She was clean at night, for the first time ever in 24 hours. Never a mistake since. Her hair has grown back and she is a beautiful girls now (if a bit small, due to not growing for such a long time). Her temperment is 2nd to none, bless her.

Ah thanks. I think she would have died in a lot of places. She cost us around £1000 in the first 6 months and didnt thrive at all. She was always happy and lively though, so we never thought about giving up.
The disgusting place we got her from, had bathed her in DECEMBER, so she was clean for us to see. Then put her sopping wet in the back of an open car boot, in a cage. She had worms and infections, which not only nearly killed her, but passed on to my elderly cat. He was at the vets for 3 days, trying not to DIE...... Grrrr

Thats awful. There must be lots of animals in poor conditions that people never know about. There are the lucky few that find good homes but I bet she would not have survived much longer if you hadnt bought her. Bet she couldnt beleive her luck !!!
