I am hoping somebody can help me ... I started college in health and social care and i finish any time soon, but i dont think its for me. Ive always wanted to work with animals but didnt get the grades i needed at school to do that at college. I would like to work on a stud yard or a producers yard and help out with the horses. I have my own horses and show them, but i would like to do it for a living.
Can aybody help me? Thanks

decide what you want first. If you want to gain BHS qualifications then shop around for a working pupil job that offers lots of riding, lessons and theory training. This will pay very little but you should receive free tuition, accomodation and exams. Make sure you find somewhere that is serious about helping you and they don't just use you as cheap labour and dont offer enough training. If you would like to travel then contact an agency that organises placemants and visas around the world. this is a nice option because you can get life experience and most things (accomodation, job etc) can be organised for you. warning - applying can be a slightly slow process. Otherwise, if you just want a straight forward job, look in horse and hound at the classifieds or register with career grooms.

Check out 'The British Grooms Association' web site. They really are a lovely friendly bunch!
