Has anyone used this lady? She was recommended to me but when I searched for her on the internet, I coould only find a fairly critical article in the Daily Telegraph archives - and nothing else. What does anyone know? thanks.

I found a website for her business Himalayan herbals, where she talks about her being the gift of being able to communicate with horses and such.

It makes one sound a bit dotty but I think she is wonderful. Give her a go if you are thinking of anyone - she really has a gift!

I think it is good to keep an open mind on these things. What works for one will not for another. I recently had a Kelly Marks Associate and she was the biggest waste of money and I was highly disappointed.
So I would say, go for it and it might be wonderful, but don't have any expectations and only do it if you can afford to lose your money.

I was always suspect on these sort of people, and use to laugh, the late caroline Pratt used her on one particular horse, and that opened my eyes, she then did a few friends horses and she wasnt informed about anything relating to each animal, but most of what she said, she hit the nail on the head. I used her then on a pony i was having trouble with, it was so uncanny there was no way she knew anything about this pony, but after 20 minutes she again hit the nail on the head with the way the pony had been and the problems it was having. sometimes you can read things into whatever you want to, but Gaynor dosent ask any questions she just communicates with the animal. she couldnt cure my pony, but i certainley understood more about where she was coming from!!!! give her a try.

A friend had a 'Horse Whisperer' to her yard- not sure of the name but think the lady had long dark hair and from Birmingham way? Scarily accurate, think she cost £100 per horse and always swore if I became more affluent I would get her in!

I have used Gaynor for a couple of my ponies. I was very sceptical about her and made sure that I didn't give away too much information when she was assessing them. She made an amazing difference to one pony but not to another. But to be honest with the pony that we didn't have the success with she had said that she didn't know whether she could help us with him. Although she did realise what his problem was and how it came about. I would definitely give her a try.

I believe that this lady in particular communicates with the horse and the horse can then tell her what the problem is. We have endless problems with one pony who on a good day goes out and qualifies Micor Lead rein and on a bad day will not be mounted without serious bucking. We have had every medical test under the sun. She is exactly the same when on a long course of pain killers. There is no hormonal link. The saddle has been inspected by more than one person and found to be fine. |I was told by one person that this is a dominant mare and will only be ridden if she chooses to be ridden. Im not sure what I think about that! I am really frustrated by this pony - I have several close relatives of hers including a sister who show none of these traits. This is a waste of a pony - she is ten now. If anyone has any ideas then I would be glad to hear them. She is qualified for Micor 2009 but I have not sent in an entry because it might be a waste of money!! I am not entirely convinced that spending £100 on a psychic is the answer either perhaps??

I think it is good to keep an open mind on these things. What works for one will not for another. I recently had a Kelly Marks Associate and she was the biggest waste of money and I was highly disappointed. So I would say, go for it and it might be wonderful, but don't have any expectations and only do it if you can afford to lose your money. This thread is entitled Gaynor Davenport so I am not sure where a Kelly Marks Associate come in to it? Gaynor Davenport "speaks/listens" to horses in the literal sense and believes that she can interrupt what they say in the English. We have had her to see one of our horses and she is remarkable and although sceptical we found her very useful in finding out some things about our horse. She is also a very interesting woman so invite her to lunch too! A Kelly Marks Associate makes no such claim but tries to help people with their remedial horses. The main problem of course with these horses is usually the owners who are set in their ways and don't understand the need for change. If you are receptive to altering some of your behavior then they can help. They are not a quick fix option. The term Horse Whisperer was invented by Nicolas Evans as the title of a book - pure fiction. Monty Roberts come to UK just at the time when the book came out and was labeled with the title by the press - that simple. Off my high horse now - really sorry!!
