For county shows:Shes to chunky for as 14.2 show pony i would have said, but where shes 14.2 she will have to go in the 153cm Show hunter Pony class and i think they could make her look tiny in there. Shame she has not got any arab in her then you could have done the part breds. I think your best bet is to try both classes on her and see which class you get the best results in. 14.2 show ponies and part breds - she will need a coloured brow band on and you will need a navy jacket. 153cm show hunter ponies- she will need a plain brow band and you will need a tweed jacket and long boots for 15hh Also you wont necessarily need a double bridle on her unless your doing the open classes . If shes never been shown before do the Novice classes on her with a snaffle or wilkie bit to start of with, otherwhys you will be putting yourself up against the open ponies that have been to HOYS, RIHS and won quite alot. Try these links and have read and see what you think Show ponies : www.theshowring.co.uk/ridden_ponies.phpShow Hunter ponies: www.theshowring.co.uk/shps.phpWhat to wear: www.prettyponies.co.uk/what_to_wear.aspGood Luck ! ;D

I agree with Wednesday.
I would maybe leave the double bridle off for now, until she has a bit more experience in the show ring in the novice classes. That will let you and her to get used to the situation and what is expected from you. I would always used a bit with a french link in the middle and small rings. A snaffle link can often bend upwards in the mouth and cause discomfort! not what you want!
Once you have achieved the novice classes then you can move into the double. If you want a small pelham can sometimes suit ponies more than a double? I would ask for advice from someone who knows your pony!
Good luck and let us know how you get on

Yeah if your not a fan of jumping i wouldnt reccomend going round the 153cm whp workers they start at a Minimum height 2ft 9in max height 3ft 3in in the novice classes ! Well good luck with the show hunters and let us know how you get on ! ;D

She's lovely and i think she could do SHP However i think at county level she may look a little small in 153cm, but you can always take her and see how you get on. Goodluck ;D
