Yes lets use this thread to say how well our ponies have done, or how well they went regardless of where they come and how nice the judges were! We are doing 2 dressage tests tomorrow so lets all be positive!

I went to visit my 4yo standard Shetland gelding this afternoon. He's staying with a friend, who's backing him for us. He's only been with her 5 days, and I was thrilled with his progress ;D Good boy Sammypony

yippeee my OH has just managed to get my cab tilted on my lorry, we got it back from the garage 3weeks ago and they had jamed the tilt mechanisim some how dont ask how they manged to do it as we cant work it out either, and he and a mate have spent hours trying to get it to unjam, to no avail they ended up having to take the saftely catch off completley by the bolts to free it up, but at least he can now sort the oil leak that garage managed to miss when putting in the new second hand engine, the joys of lorries. So hoepfully lorry will be 100% by the time of the Royal Highland show

Well didn't get to do my dressage test as was running late (even though I keep my horse at the same place I was competing D'OH!) so only had 12 mins to warm up and little boy was quite spritely but the indoor school was jammed and everyone seemed to be where I was - he was a very good boy and went beautifully even after getting squished by the people on bigger horses who seem to think self carriage is riding on the buckle and going at 100mph! Not moaning though because little boy was perfect and hasn't ridden with that many horses yet. Hope everyone else is still happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christ no wonder he is getting fed up if you only show him 10 mins attention, that wouldn't even give me time to get my boots off, let alone any attention going.

I had a lovely days judging today, starting with the teenies lead-rein, a bit of a sticky moment with a highly unsuitable pony carrying a toddler lashed into a basket saddle and wearing a pink cycling helmet, but we got over that, and even the child holding up the bottom went out smiling! I only had one entry in the open workers, but had decided on previous form the pony was a handy type, put the fences up to max, added a couple more, and was glad to see my faith in its abilities were true. I then placed said animal champion with a nice lead rein reserve. EVERY SINGLE PERSON IN THAT RING THANKED ME BEFORE THEY LEFT!!! The rain stopped before I started this morning and the sun even shone - cant ask for more really, and the fact this is one of the shows that actually PAYS the judges in CASH was the icing on the cake.

I too was Judging today and everyone was very polite and smiling even if they came last! I really made the results of the Veterans difficult for the Secretary as I had 6, all in very good nick (Though these days I think veterans should start at 18, rather than 15) so I had two tied equal third and two tied equal fourth. This was, after all a local show and it's nice to be able to use my own discretion now and again. They all went away very happy. Oh, yes, and the sun shone all day after tipping it down until nine in the morning.
