I lost my beloved Ice this week - I have had the week from hell looking for him and he was found dead today on the side of a road about half a mile from home. He was so beautiful and soppy and I am heartbroken. He has left his pal and companion Blaze lost and confussed and I am worried he is as berieved as I am. This is the downside of owning a pet but the good reasons will always outweigh it even though it doesn't feel like it right now. RIP my beautiful boy - you made my life better for knowing you.  |

Thank you so much for your kind comments - I have only owned him for 15 months but he was such a funny boy and was a bit dim which made him so endearing. He was only 3 when he died and it seems so sad as I live in a tiny hamlet with open fields around three sides of my house down a no through road. He was found half a mile away on a road where the cars go so fast - I just hope he didn't know anything about it. Blaze is off outside again but is not himself at all and I only hope he doesn't go too far looking for his buddy.

I am so sorry to hear that you lost your beloved Ice, I know what it is like to lose one on a road. Took me forever to get over it, still think of him often.
You never forget them and all the cuddles and fun you had with them.
Again so sorry.

So sad for you! I two lost one of 2 brothers years ago, on the road. We were devastated, but his brother was totally depressed. He sat most of the day, staring at the cat flap, for weeks on end.
We tried to find another kitten, but it was mid-winter and there werent any. Eventually, hubby found me my lovely white kitten (Pickle), which we thought would cheer Henry up. It did I suppose, but he made it his job in life to BULLY Pickle mercifully for the next 10 years!
When Henry died, Pickle waved a happy flag and jigged all round the house! We bought him a new girly kitten, which he thought was "Mighty Fine" and gave him a new lease of life!
You will never forget your lovely cat and the love he gave you xx

i am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful cat.
i do know how you feel after losing Lulu after having her for 9 years.
it gets easier but you will never forget.

Thank you all for your kind comments. I can't believe how sad I feel - I don't think I have ever felt this bad over the death of an animal before. He was such a funny cat and so sweet - his pal is desperately sad which is making it worse. I am sure I need to go and buy another pony to take my mind off him!!
