Have you tried Tim and Antonia Brown? No where are they? Website? I have booked to go and see TINDERBOX HORSE "Sparkle" tom, but feeling uneasy about it. A few unexplained things. 7 yrs only just broken, they not know why? Didnt get on very well being broken with last home, so sent to dealer to sell. Not being sold to jump, as has jumped people off and peees off after the fence. I dont especially want to jump much, but does all this sound a bit querky?

Tim and Antonia Brown have a very good reputation round my way. My mum has spoken to someone who has bought horses from them and they would never try to 'sell' you anything, if they don't think it's right they won't try to make it right if that makes sense? www.timandantoniabrown.co.uk

Still looking! PONYMUM is being absolutely FAB in helping me to search out horses in her area. Thanks to all you others too, who have been pm-ing me with help. I am VERY grateful.
I am SO OVER driving about all over the place, I am inclined to sit tights and wait for the perfect one to make itself apparent. All the ones I am driving to see, sound good, but I am hoping they will be better than they sound or look. Wishful thinking sadly. I need to wait till one sounds absoutely perfect (that I can afford), then go and see it. I will instantly know when the horse is right. I am very decisive, just not found the right one, in the right price range.
The ones up North are def a bit cheaper, but when you work out that I have to pay £200 for transport, £200 for my flights and then around £500 for vetting with xrays, it can start to add up.

lovepink - I knew I'd found the right horse this time the minute I sat down in the saddle and he was the first horse I went to see (sorry to rub it in LOL) he was 4hrs away though so worth the travel and time. Me and my mum travelled the country many times when I was looking for the impossible perfect Hack youngster 4 years ago and ended up going back to the first one we saw. I hate looking at horses and I'm sure they don't enjoy it either. One will find you when you stop thinking about looking - always the way!

Was going to see a lovely mare today. 2 hour drive up the M25, but as there are public transport strikes in London, the M25 has a 0 mph likelyhood today! Thought I would give that a miss. This mare is very nice BUT, the owner told me right at the end of the conversation, that she wears a Boet rug. I couldnt get a straight yes or no, as to whether she has sweetitch, as she just says she will rub her mane without it on.
Probably has got Sweetitch, but I guess if you admit it, the price would go down accordingly. I have had 2 ponies with sweetitch and as much as I loved them, it was very distressing at times.

I'm sure you probably have seen it, but there is an advert (sort of a quarter of a page one) in the Horse and Hound for Dressage horses. Picture of two of them - no prices!!!! Only a mobile number but says Surrey

I rang that one last week! They wanted £30,000 ;D ;D ;D
I have tried to contact the stud, where that Irish Shagya came from to see if they have any more. I really liked hime and would have bought him if they would have let me re-try with a friend to give 2nd opinion.
I have emailed the stud, but no reply. Cant work out what to dial for the irish code? Does anyone know?
Now a trip to a "millionaires" stud in Ireland, sounds quite tempting doesnt it! Might even be able to get the hubby interested in that trip!
Wonder how much it is to import from Ireland these days?
