We are having a lot of problems with them as well, I have had to spray my roses morning and night to try to keep them at bay

What about the flipping gnats I've been eaten alive this evening, OH said it's because they like their meat old and rancid, thats not nice.

I'm glad its not just me, I got mobbed by them the other day was on a green tractor (maybe they thought giant greenfly!) harrowing the arenas and was just covered in them - is it just a time of year and sudden warmth thing? I have never noticed this many of the bu88ers before!!

I think I would rather have greenfly than the swarm of horse flies that we have here, the horses and me are getting eaten alive

Greenflies horrendous here too but then we have horseflies also! Loads of greenfly due to lack of ladybirds apparently. Those funny coloured ladybirds that invaded us last year (from spain I think) ate all the English ladybirds then b******d off back to where they came from and left us with none! (or hardly any) always take care when i see ladybirds in garden now, or swimming in paddling pool as thye were today, we need them to get gobbling those hideous green things!
