Pairs / Adult & Child - Wanted/Available

Hi Guys

I know there are some individual threads wanting ponies for Pairs and Adult & Childs classes at individual shows so i thought it might be good to have a thread where you can put what you are looking for and which shows you will be at or if you have a pony/horse to offer for Pairs or Adult & Child classes & where you are willing to go.

I'll start it off, i'll be at Equifest & Royal London and need a pony to do pairs with & a child to do Adult & Child with.
I have a 14.2 Dun PBA/SP.

adult required for adult /child pairs at Equifest...our pony is chestnut roan with whites on back, forward going not bothered by anything and good little jockey, oh, he's sec A so a sec D or C maybe??

would you say the horses have to be more or less identical ( or very similar ) .? i would like to put a dark chestnut with a bay -what do you think ?

i think the more they look alike, the better it looks as a picture for the judge, and so the higher you will get placed

I have a white grey connemara and also an all black dartmoor.. both of which would be available to do pairs or adult and child and should be fairly easy to match. The little girl who rides our dartmoor is desperate to do pairs or adult and child! Its all she talks about!! We will be at NPS and also Equifest.

I have a 9 year old daughter who is looking for an adult to pair her at Equifest.

She rides a 13h Dark Bay Section C with three white socks (1 black behind).

If there is an adult with a possible match she would love to hear from you.

lauren i want to do it with malt - think i will make claire take dales to equifest and i can then do it with malt! when i did the pairs with him last year he loved it even though his pair hated him! you should do it with Georgia on her little pony

Ahh.. malt and dales would be brilliant together chloe!! Hadnt thought of that! Abbi is literally begging me to find her a pair so we'll have to sort something out! Not sure how much i would trust abbi to be sensible though doing it with dales!! Think she might get a bit over excited! Maybe il do it with you and dales one time and we'l find abbi another first ridden to do it with another!! Might be a bit safer!!

hi nativeponies - yes we are definately doing equifest. have not even looked at schedule yet but will be doing entries this week hopefully. I think you can enter on the day for the pairs etc. cant you. What do you think? What is your pony like? Is it similar to the chestnut in my signature? Does not have to be exact does it - as long as there are some similarities(?) - its just good fun isnt it? Good way of getting to meet others as well i think. So what do you think?

chestnut roan sec A 2 whites on the back, has a blaze, forward and big moving so should be ok at the side of yours and yeah, i think you can enter on the day, they may even be free classes, will have a look tomorrow but i know some of concours are free, so maybe!! x yeah should be fun, daughter sociable too and doesnt mind joining in with people she doesnt know, will be a laugh! X

let me know if you find out anything more about the adult and child - how old is your daughter. My daughter is 16 (going on 36 i think) so they would be fine in adult and child and nia is a chunky mare - not the best picture in my signature but you have an idea what she is like! its fun!

daughter 11 nearly 12 going on 16!! so they should be ok!! lol...let you know when i've had a look in the morning xx we will need a laugh,after being there all week in my tent i maybe losing the will to live !! x

I think for adult and child the adult has to be 18 or over and child under 18 Can anyone confirm this for me?

Hi Dizzydora, I have the perfect match!!!!! Just googled Deaconwood Goldprint for images my pony is identical! We are only at PUK and Equifest this year. He is 10 year old 13hh PBA. We do WHP but he is previous top SHP. He is much lighterweight than most SHP but definitely hunter rather than SP. My daughter is 12 and would be so pleased to be able to do the pairs class. Could send you some pics but you need to tell me how! I am useless on the computer! Let me know if you are still looking!

Hi mcdougal, yes i am still looking! Your pony sounds perfect! It's so hard trying to find a dun pair that match think we may have just found them! ;D I'm 24 but only small so get away with riding a 14.2 so i can do both pairs & adult and child depending what they have at Equifest.
I have a browband business to so i can make us some nice matching ones to wear ;D I'll pm you my email address and you can email them to me and i'll send you some of my boy, i'm sure they will look great together though!

hi geegee13 - dont think she is ready for equifest - not done a lot with her yet - just been broken and have concentrated on our young stallion and daughters c at moment. Hi, on another thread a guest mentioned that she has a grey dales and she may be going to PUK and interested in doing pairs.
i couldnt reply on the thread so i hope she reads this new one and i cant pm either .

Charliefox - Are you going to Royal London at all? I have my pair sorted for Equifest but am still looking for one to do it at Royal London with. It would be the Adult & Child at Royal London that i could do. My boy is a dun 14.2 PBA but with yours plaited up im sure they would look ok together.
