The Nuvan Staykill is very good for carpets and soft furnishings, about £15 a large can from Manor Pharmacy. You spray and then close the room for 30 mins, you only need to do it once a year.

Mr Pickle has a severe flea allergy. When he was on frontline, he was bald under his tummy, where he pulled all his hair out. Loads of steroid injections, but no better.
Vet changed him onto STRONGHOLD spot on, which also worms them, which is another impossible task..........We have never had a flea problem since!
I would definately do the swop!
My dogs also swopped as they kept getting mange, from the foxes that our on our property. Stronghold also stop mange.

This stuff protects your house for the year, and also kills any eggs that may be in your carpets etc. Not saying your carpets are full of fleas heathers, just making sure people know you have to do both!!!

Since putting them on STRONGHOLD, we have had NO FLEAS at all. Not had to do the carpets or anything ever since. We changed the cats over 6 years ago! Only changed the dogs this year, but if you ask your vet, they will probably admit to you that there is a resistence against frontline now.
With the worming done as well for you, I cant see any advantage of staying on frontline? Worming cats has to be the most "traumatic, dangerous, difficult, non-enjoyable" task ever!
Mr Pickle is the cuddliest creature in the word, but you try giving him a wormer..........! Claws inprinted on every bodily part - wormer spat time and time again onto the kitchen floor LOL

hi frontline combo is in my opinion one of the best on the market acclaim, indorex, and nuvan staykil are all the same they kill the larvae and it is quite correct fleas live on the host but breed in the carpets etc. frontline should last 5 weeks, have you checked that there is not a hedghog etc living where the cats go alot this sometimes causes infestations and foxes. There is nothing wrong stronghold either

frontine combo is a bit better but as someone else said, there is a resistance to frontline now as it has been around for so long. my last vets changed products to something called practic which is licenced for use in dogs, unfortunately they are yet to bring out a product for cats. stronghold is an option for cats. although, if you are seeing infestations in your pets then there is very very likely to be an infestation in your house so it is absolutely pointless just treating the animals if you are not going to treat the house too. keep well away from promeris products, have known animals die from its use.
