D`Abernon Fantasy gave birth to a stunning filly at 5 o, clock this evening  Will post more pics when she has unfolded The birth itself happened in the field at the furthest point from the house - We heard a right racket and saw Fantasy and another mare having one hell of a kicking match. Myself Tim and April have never run so fast to get to those mares - I knew exactly what was happening. Tim scooped up the foal, I got a headcollar on Fantasy and April fought off the other mares and we ran until safely on the yard. The Vet came out to check them over and thankfully all is well. She has been named due to the fact she is very `lucky` we were in the yard and saw what was happening and `Legacy` due to the sad loss of her Grandmother `Josie`recently at the D`Abernon Studx

aww cute looks like she has had a lucky escape like you said glad they are both fine keep us posted ;D

That was lucky, must have been a panic. Cant see the pics at work pc but congratulations on a lovely foal.

This lovely foal is still not fully unfolded but very interested in the world - but only when right behind Mum  It is lovely to have a friendly filly |
