Could you be more specific, is it on her body or legs. If legs try magnetic boots, if on body sounds like it could be bruising or an adeama. Hot and cold compresses will disperse the swelling, Good luck

Is it a thoroughpin? A true throughpin will push through from side to side of the hock

its on the hock but below where a thoroughpin would be and you cant push it side to side it looks like a little egg

If its on the inside of the hock below the level of the point it sounds like a bog spavin. Hosing and figure of 8 bandaging will help but its caused by a leaky bursa that has been strained in some way and they generally don't disappear all together unfortunately.

I'm with hollycane, we had one with a bog spavin, had it drained then padded out a elbow support and did it up fairly tightly, it hasn't got rid of it completely but you would have to know it was there to see it.

My daughter is doing young judge training for our area, we have looked at loads of horses with unusal things and from your description our tutor would call it a bursal enlargement? which is imo a random lump in an unusual place!!!

my filly has had this recently its like a ball shape with no noticalbe discomfort with no lameness the vet said its capped hock she was anti inflamitories and a gel for ten days also using cold water to hose it down there was on sign of a cut it just appeared i think our gelding had kicked her in the field . although it may never completely go down she should be completely fine it comes from a knock or a kick to the joint and it swells like if we had water on the knee x check out this link this is how i researched it x www.equisearch.com/horses_care/health/illnesses_injuries/eqhock479/

Wouldn't it be a good idea to get the vet to look at it?
