Strawberry Roan Reg Section C Mare, 12.2hh, 6 years old. This pony is a saint, I cant stress enough how much she puts up with, and never turns a hair. She will stand for hours being brushed, plaited, hoof painted, pampered and kissed and cuddled. We bought her as a 4 year old and, amongst other things, spent that winter teaching a friends 8 year old how to ride. Since then she has done a few shows, a bit of pony club, x country schooling and mostly hacking. Recently she has been enjoyed by our friends 5,4, and 2 year old girls who adore her and ride her in the school on their own or backwards or just jump off and leave her while they build a camp! She is too kind and sweet for what we want. My girls are older now and want much more exciting ponies. She was bought to do first riddens and workers and this is what she started doing, but there always seemed to be a better pony in the yard to take out and she got left on the back burner.
She is a lovely looking pony and very well bred, so would make a gorgeous brood mare. But before she has babies, she has too much to offer a little jockey or bigger less confident child. She is totally bombproof, perfect to handle in anyway, never takes advantage, is a real people pony, always talking to us and will come over and see what we are doing. Used to motorbikes, quads, trailers, shooting, dogs etc. Spooking is far too energetic for her!
She is totally wasted with us, and although we had ideas that we could show her, she really is too quiet for it. She likes the easy life and standing looking beautiful is what she does best!
