Maybe you caught him on a bad day. I have been a customer of fylde saddlery for about 15years and have never had any problems what so ever. I get all my saddles off them and im back and forth from east yorkshire getting them altered when the ponies have changed shape etc all free of charge. All the staff there are always more than helpful and always offer help and advice whenever you need it. I cant praise them enough, sorry.

We have never had a problem with Fylde, Peter has always bent over backwards for us, we even went up at 10pm the night before a show for some reins - daughter tied pony to fence and pony pulled backwards he was moe than happy to show us all the reins he had and let us take our pick, and we have also swapped and changed saddles like nobodies business, and each and every time he has been pleasant, like dizzydora said you may have caught him on a bad day, but in the last 20 years we have never caught him on a bad day, he's always helped us in what ever way he can.

Never had a problem either and to be straight about it i do not think bad mouthing someone's livelihood on a forum is a good idea? Deal with your problem by all means but people end up in court for such things, so be careful!

we have dealt with them on numerous occassions and whilst I consider Peter to be a real "character" I have had no problems. I see that you live in gloucestershire. I have heard that they will be at the nps so perhaps you could take pony and saddle up there for him to look at.

I have dealt with Fylde for years and never had a problem with them. Maybe you were unfortunate in catching Peter at a very busy time of year. Championship shows coming up, people wanting/ordering last minute buys and he's packing/stock checking his trade stand.
As girly says, try and arrange to take your pony to NPS for a saddle fitting?
Any saddle purchase without the saddler being present and correct templates being taken you will always run the risk that the saddle won't fit.
