The Riding Horse is usually ridden by the judge and they are more 'adult' classes with no age limit - the dress code is different with tweed jackets and browband for the Riding Horses. The Show Riding Type is like a 'grown up' show pony class. It was added for the riders coming off 14.2s so they could have a transfer class into the world of adult horse showing. There is an age limit of 25 for this class and ponies from 146cm - 153cm and exceeding 153 - 158cm are able to compete whereas Riding Horses are exceeding 148cm - 158cm and exceeding 158cm. The Show Riding Type jockeys wear blue jackets and browband (same as the SPs) and the judge doesn't ride these.
Hope that helps

As we have seen top class RH/SRT 15hh-15.2hh for sale and my daughter is 18yrs old, and wasnt sure what classes meant what so at this point she can do both? am i right, until she turns 25 she can't do riding type classes?
