Tiggy Winkle here, telling you all about the VERY SAD NEWS.....giggle...... ;D ;D

My awful brother.."Bertie Bassett" seems to have caught some terrible illness.....

Either that or he has been hit by the UGLY STICK ;D ;D

The very well bred Burmese cat, who lives at the other end of our fields, gave Bertie Bassett a well deserved beating the other day!

That was bad (or funny) enough, but the injuries have gone MANKY .......LOL ;D ;D

Mummy rushed him to the vets this morning and he has an infection and possibly mange too!

I did tell you he was COMMON didnt I. Luckily I dont touch him, so no chance of me catching it

I sneakily took these photos of him, but dont let on, as he would kill me for showing them to you! ;D

Poor Bertie. He will be ok, but is currently feeling very sorry for himself.

Tiggy was naughty to put the pics on here, as Bertie is embarrased to look so ugly.

I have been spoiling Bertie and Pickle all day, but havnt seen Tiggy once! Whats the little madam up to now!

Probably posting some ugly photos of me on here next!

Thanks I will. Its horrible to have the little monster so QUIET and DEPRESSED.

He just cried for his t and he seems to have lost his meow too. Only a little baby squeek came out! Poor little Bertie.......

Winkle is now thinking she has taken over the "head of the household" position with the cats pecking order.

Pickle is too tired, after his ordeal and Bertie is lying like a wet weekend, on one of the dogs beds.

Winkle is following me around, squarking loudly (as Bengals do) and demanding attention at every moment.

I think she better enjoy it while she can, before the bad boys (or Bertie anyway) are back in town!

There is mouse guts on my carpet and winkle has just been jumped on by Bertie and chased out the cat flap!

I think we can safely say the antibiotics are working and the TERROR of Bertie Bassett has returned to his former naughty self!

Thanks Heathers. All seems ok today, but Bertie is far from FULLY recovered. The vets want to see him again next week, if all not much better, but we leave for Portugal 6am Tue morning!

Why do things all happen just before we are going away? We have a very experienced friend, who is alos prof house sitter, coming to look after everything, but its unfair on her to leave too many problems!

What with Bertie and now Violet may need to be AI'ed on Tues, so we not here to take her to stud!!!!! My mind is going on overtime!!!

Bertie is still poorly! He has had 2nd lot of antibiotics and anti mange spot on. He has now lost lots of hair from under his tummy and its red and inflamed too.

The vets have taken a skin scraping which takes 24 hrs to 5 days, to come back. I just googled mange and it can kill in a month, if not cured! He has been like this for nearly 3 weeks!

Also just heard, that my niece has ringworm. Apparantly her school was over-run with it. Brother/mum didnt tell me as didnt want to worry me! If its ringworm Bertie and my dog has, I will be furious! My vets bill is already over £200.

Poor little man is on my lap needing sympathy!
