For me it's not the language so much as the context in which it is used - a swear word in a genuinely funny joke for example I think can be excused to a certain extent, but in recent days some abusive and agressive posts have used particularly foul language, and I think when used in an agressive manner with the intention of intimidating another member, that's when I find it unacceptable.

i agree and with the greatest of respect mods, i think you need to take some sort of action. How about a big pm to every member of this site explaining whats acceptable and what isnt as well as a sticky thread?? and if people choose not to follow this, take whatever methods neccesary. Im sure it would cut down the use of bad language and it would show that you wont stand for bad behaviour! x

MHL I have recently warned one guest that any more abusive posts would result in their IP being blocked. Seems to have done the trick as that person hasn't posted again in that manner. I know things get heated and sometimes things get posted in anger, but generally I think when a person resorts to that sort of language it's when they know they are in the wrong and haven't got a valid argument to put forward.

Also to add, I have left the said post in it's original form, as I think it's relevant to the thread - it certainly shows that person in their true colours.

I think it also reflects the poor standard of Education that a lot of people have had to suffer. They cannot express themselves correctly as they are limited to such a small vocabulary. Yer no wot I mean!!!!!

I am 14 years old, and I would never use any swears on this sight!
I respect the rules because, I am lucky and my mum gives me the free range to browse the internet as I please, so there should be no reason for me or any other indivual to abuse the rules!

Shame those older then you didnt feel the same way !!!
I think also the abusive tone that is used is becoming more frequent, i had someone having a go earlier about my spelling
If i was a petty person i could class that as personal abuse, all getting a bit silly i think
