I am still on hols in Portugal, so have escaped from the family to let you in on this SHOCKING news! 
For those that have read previous threads about Violet, will know she is little miss prim and proper, who is too delicate to even consider ovulating, without being at home. Causing me untold worry, trying to get things right with her and a turkey baster full of T Moviestar semen.
I was basically having to go on hols with the family and had to make a decision and fast. Have had loads of help from fellow HG ers with much more experience than me on this subject.
I had managed to get Violet 100% in season and ovulating, the day I left for Portugal. Spoke to Kevin who does the AI for me at his stud. He agreed NO WAY could he get the timings right, to AI her with Frozen semen, while I was away, if she couldnt be left with him. He also agreed no point in leaving her with him, as she would switch off. I rang up T Moviestars owner begging for fresh semen, but although she tried, she was told NO and none available now till next spring.
Made a very quick decision to have Violet given fresh semen, by Kevins own stallion CARNIVAL PLEASURE. Arranged for my good friends Anita and Claire, to take her to his stud for me while I was on plane to portugal. Nearly had a panic attack, leaving it all to them, but sometimes family MUST com first......
Only thing I got wrong! I thought she was being AI, but NO it was the real deal. They took a little pony to tease her until she was ready (as they know she isnt scared of ponies) and then their stallion hopped on at the last minute.
When they rang up to tell me I nearly passed out with shock! Apparently my little princess had been perfectly happy about the whole thing!
Am still very shocked, and but pleased too and VERY grateful for my good friends for dealing with this for me.
It was her last chance this year of getting in foal, so I just wanted to give her the best shot!
Now we wait and see...........
