Congratulations on your news. So pleased as have been following all your posts waiting for this to come. Speaking to you previously so knowing all the mishaps you were having its nice to see that you have some good news for a change.
PS. My mare who competes very successfully at dressage has a lot of show jumpers in her blood lines and we show jump as part of her training. It often helps in the dressage as she focuses more and isn't as excitable so pays more attention. Hope you have this with your foal in the future.

I'm glad all your worrying has paid of lovepink. Fingers crossed for your next scan - it's very exciting when they are far enough along to see the heatbeat.

Guestless, how far along will it be, before I can see the heartbeat? That would be amazing! Usually 4 weeks onward I think. I saw the heartbeat at my mare's 30 day scan a couple of months ago.

Sageandonion and tintin, thanks so much. It has been fun doing this thread, as I am like the "idots guide to horse breeding"....LOL ;D ;D Fingers crossed for next scan on friday! Aww!! That bit made me giggle LOL its not the idiots guide to horse breeding at all!! Your gaining experience i personally loved reading your thread even though i have no clue about breeding!! Congratulations and good luck for the scan!! ;D

That's good. It's supposed to be quite rare for something to happen once you've had a couple of scans done.....but it doesn't stop us worrying, lol!

You can usually just make out the heartbeat at the 23 day scan, so Its a shame the vet didn't point it out to you.

Soooooooooooo excited for you, perhaps this was all fate and Violet is set to be mum to a total superstar, in which case you can sadly rehome poor unwanted Lilly to me.
Do you get a pic of the scan like you do human babies?
