does anyone have experience with the kineton nosebands? ive been advised to use one with my ex racehorse mare as she gets strong in canter in the school and very strong in the field to the point where im a bit nervous riding her out as she just seems to go into race mode and tank off im terriefied of her bolting as shes so strong and exceptionaly hard to stop, would it work as well as they say it does or should i try a stronger bit?. shes only in a full cheek snaffle any advice i would be grateful for, xxx

i used a kineton noseband on a very strong pony who had a hard mouth and found it really effective .. you need to make sure that it is fitted properly and not too low on the nose ... hope this helps.

Hi, I used to own an ex-racehorse which we jumped successfully bsja in a kineton noseband. It helped to keep his head down and in to make it more effective when in a jump off to not treat it like on the last lap of a racecourse!!! Have used on various other horses and had successful results as well.

When I rode an ex-racehorse years ago it went faster as more pressure was put on the bit, and slowed down as you sat up tall. I have heard this is how they are trained to go for racing, I'm no expert but have you tried talking to a specialist in retraining racehorses? I'm sure someone at one of the charities would help you.
