I presume there will be some classes with a judge change, as I have heard that a judge has been asked to leave. Can anyone shine any light on this one...!!!

Asked to leave because of bad and favoured judging, apparantly it was so obvious a complaint that was put in was up-held (if thats the right term) and the judge asked to leave the show, a senior lady with blonde/white hair, but I do not know her name, and nothing seems to have been said on here. my mum says she might have been judging show ponies or hunter ponies.

Wonder if it was the judge of the 5 and under M and M LR class this morning. Where on earth did she get the winner of the class from? The little dun pony in second was the clear winner cant understand the winner at all. Some other good ponies down the line too. Dont know what the judging was like in the other classes she judged but very strange in that class.

And yes it was my daughter and pony who won and the pony has won a lot before so maybe the judge recognised a good pony when she saw and yes the second was lovely too. Two people who knew the pony previously came up to me afterwards to congratulate us and say how lovely it was to see the pony still doing well. Were you the connections of the second pony - funny if you were cos you were very pleasant in the class!

This thread has a familiar feel to it. Someone comes on and says a judge has behaved badly and action has been taken, sets everyone talking and rouses their curiosity and then refuses to let anyone know who the alleged judge was. I will be checking the IP address of the person originating the thread, and checking if you are the same person who started another thread along very similar lines.

In reply to post by Highhill I was also in the Tiny tots leadrein class and am related to the second prize winner. When I read the comments I contacted her and told her about them, she was very upset you could have thought she might do something like that after your chat in the ring. I can assure you we were both satisfied our placings were fair and would never have any intention of saying anything like that and have no reason to dispute the result. Congratulations and enjoy your win.

Re the missing judge in ring 4 on Saturday I think you will find that she was delayed in starting those classes because she was required for the Welsh Championship judging elsewhere.
How can anybody complain about the winner of a tiny tots LR class if the pony did its job and looked after its young jockey? Manners are 100% paramount in these classes and more people should ensure that the pony they put their child on is a true child's pony not one that needs to be worked into the ground first.

thank you toomanyponies and roseview. The lady in 2nd and her daughter were both very nice and friendly and I would have been VERY surprised if the comments were from her. Thank you for your congratulations Sadly you always seem to get someone trying to knock you down after a bit of success. I am glad you were both satisfied with your placings too. The lady in 2nd and myself both thought we maybe dropped as the judge completely walked past us to look down the line, but as the 2nd lady said maybe she is just sure she is leaving us both here and she was right. Roseview - you are right Heti looks after her young jockey, who has only just (this week) started trotting without holding her saddle - quite an acheievement for a child with a right side weakness and she comes straight out of the stable and into the ring.

Highhill, dont let this thread upset you. I am positive you deserved your win and should be allowed to enjoy it.
Dont let others being nasty, take away the pleasure from your daughters achievement.

Well done Highhill - obviously wasnt there but know your pony and little one from NPS and your pony is a true tots lead rein and that judge's choice for your performance on the day so well done.
As a show organiser that books over 50 judges per season, would someone please pm me the name of judge concerned if the above is true? it will not go any further you can be assured.
As mentioned on other threads, show organisers need to know about bad/facey judging, as when we book judges all we have is names and addresses in rule books - they could be fantastic (and 99% of them are) but equally some may not be. In this economic climate, good judges are followed and it can make or break a show to book someone that no one will show under!
Therefore, would be most obliged.....

This is correct, we were held up in the ridden for 2hrs!!! waiting for our judge, another judge offered to step in but he wasnt allowed too!

Bowditchblobs - I thought the ring changes for the ridden M&Ms were down to timing as they were over running - some moved to Ring 8 and the Ds to Ring 3, as it was the Ch wasn't until about 7pm! Moving them meant they could run some concurrently, fine as all had different judges, and not necessarily to do with the subject of this thread.

I am also a show secretary booking judges for sever shows and from 6 different lists, and would be most appreciative if you could PM the the name, and assure you I will not divulge. We had problems with 2 judges this year at our Spring Show and am desperate to avoid pitfalls again.

Milliesmum.......this was not scandal mongering, it was fact, but i was shocked by who the judge was, and due to the fact this person will be at bsps i felt that i could not say. It will come out in the wash...this was not a joke...

Well I do hope you've let those people know who have legitimate reasons for needing the name. I'm not for publicly naming people in these circumstances but this sort of post does get a lot of people's interest.

When i first posted I was hoping someone would be able to tell us who the judge was, but when I later found out myself, I did not want to to be the one naming and shaming on the forum, especially with it been such a prolific judge. I am still in shock, and I now wish I had not opened my mouth..

A quick look at someone's previous posts will often tell you if they have been a show organiser for a while or just for the purposes of this thread!

So gusto guest !!! you started this thread as you wanted to know who the judge in question was , and you were expecting someone to tell you who it was an open forum were you In the meantime you have since found out who the Lady/Gentleman in question is and you are not prepared to tell anyone Therefore why start the thread in the first place
