I'm looking for a Shetland to be shown in-hand and possibly stand at stud/driven when old enough... Basically I'm looking for a surprise birthday present for my partner, who loves ponies but doesn't want to necessarily ride. Ideally the pony would be suitable to be shown in-hand at top level, a coloured would be great as the classes available would obviously be wider.
Like everybody, I don't have a lot of money to spend, but the right pony is obviously important... The new pony would have a 1st class home, with lots and lots of pony and showing experience and he would have the very best of care and attention. I can guarantee that this pony, if all goes well, will be shown at top level so this would be a great home for a pony that a breeder would like to be seen 'out and about' to promote their stud.
Please PM me if you think you have something suitable, ideally in the south/south west as we are based in Wiltshire, although we would travel for the right pony... Thank you.

Hi Julia, your little person sounds lovely but more money than I have I'm afraid (although I'm sure he's worth every penny)... thank you.

Probably no more than about £400! I realise that something like the one you have is worth far more, but I don't mind something that is very young (weanling even) or unmade... I know there are Shetties around for this sort of money, it's just finding the right one!...

Hi I have a 4yr old piebald shetland gelding for sale unbroken, I deal for inhand showing, he lives in or out, great to box, trim, catch and bath etc, really easy to do. He is registed with the shetland pony stud book society. he is a hansome fellow and is well upto height for a standard shetland. He has been shown inhand and is well behaved in the ring. Only for sale as currently wasted, and lack of time. £600 BUT I AM OPEN TO OFFERS.

Just to say , these Stallions are all still for sale. I know the size and bloodlines of 4 of them, all 39"41" all young stallions, so they would be a cheap way of having a super ridden gelding? ? Please pm me if you want a contact number, or phone me on, 07949 125 195.

Thank you to everybody that has pm'd or replied on here to me about this. I'm sorry if I haven't got back to everybody but there have been quite a few, most not suitable for one reason or another, the main thing being that I think I should have said that the pony does really need to be not too far away, mainly because I just haven't got the time to travel to see anything and then collect it! There have been a couple that sound lovely but are just too far away in hindsight.
So... I'm still looking ideally for a registered Shetland colt/young stallion or gelding, suitable to be shown in-hand at top level, but for not much money...
Thank you.
