Hi what is the least you will take for coloured pony ? thanks sam I find comments like this so rude. This is a top class pony and no doubt they will want a nice home for her not just someone who is interested in buying something as cheaply as possible. Especially someone who can't even be bothered to ring the vendor to discuss it but has to post such a ridiculous comment on a forum. Its obvious you care nothing about the pony and only think about money. Buying a pony should not be about the 'least' someone will take for it, it should be about whether the pony is the right one for you. The credit crunch appears to be being used ruthlessly by some people to try to make offers on absolutely everything.

Not well said at all, some bits I agree with but others I dont
An offer (Bid to buy) is better than nothing, and at least they have tried and No one should ever be insulted by an offer. True buying a pony should not be about money but i dont think its rude, its called negotiation, however it should not be said over a forum, at least PM the vendor.
However never be insulted by an offer.

That comment above was not negotiation nor was it a true offer which is where someone says 'I will offer you X' . I would not classify the above as a 'bid to buy' as no money was actually offered. If you really want to know if someone will take an offer then you ring up, enquire whether the pony would be suitable for you or not and then you ask if they will take any offers and state your price range. If you have 3k and the pony is 5k then you might email or pm to discuss it in private.
If you look at a lot of the posts on the for sale threads there are hundreds of comments of this type - they are not true 'bids' or offers and I bet the people asking 'what's the least you will take;' type comments rarely buy.
Serious buyers ring people up. I still find it rude that people think it is acceptable to reduce buying a pony to something akin to bidding on a coat on ebay.
Edited to say apologies Leanne for taking up your for sale advert and will delete if you wish me to. Hope you find the mare a lovely home soon with someone who will love and appreciate her for what she is
