working dogs can still be docked, you have to have proof that they are bred as workers i.e letter from such as a gamekeeper stating you work dogs for pest control etc. Condition of being docked is that they are microchipped and have paperwork that's been completed by person docking and has to be passed onto purchaser. Local retired vet around here still legally allowed to dock/do dew claws as long as you have required proof (well did our pups 2 yrs ago and don't think any further changes since)! Not 100% but sure the chap said he travelled to people to do docking within certain radius of Cambs/Northants area
