Ha ha its definitely an age thing. I used to be able to get really really drunk at 18 and then get up the next morning, feel fine, go to work and ride out mad 2 year olds. Now at nearly 40 one glass of anything and i feel terrible in the morning

LOL I was having this conversation with a friend of mine only yesterday. I used to go out Friday, Sat, Sun and even Monday nights. I would get so drunk and be absolutely fine the next day, then came the kids and well I'm drunk after just 2 drinks (what a sad case, cheap night out though) I'm so ill the next day I literally crawl on all fours to the loo, my OH hates it as he has to look after kids. Last time I was hungover I just felt so sick, I drove up the yard and got hot sweats, put the ponies out and was sick in the field walked back to the car and had too run in the stable to be sick, got home and went back to bed till 3pm and only got up as OH was fed up looking after the kids. Why oh Why do we do it to ourselves? You think I would know better being in my 30's xxx

I hated hangovers so much that I gave up drinking completely and have been teetotal for about 16/17 years!!!!! I dont miss it at all and even when everyone around me is drinking I have absolutely no desire to join in!!!

Oh I wish I had your will power Brindlerainbow...... Just cannot drink like I used. I can't have it in the house otherwise it miraculously disappears and there is only me and 3 Jack Russells Was testing batches of Sloe Gin last night, just sips honest. Had pounding headache this morning and was chief egg fryer at our hunt breakfast. Hair of the dog did actually fix me though. Miracle cure acetominephen tablets have run out :-( but off to the States shortly so will be stocking up ;-)

Do not like hangovers, we spent our entire time at equifest either drunk or with hangover, promised myself i will never do it again, til next saturday! Dont have time for hangovers, too many ponies, so good few glasses of water at night, plenty of coffee in the morning and away we go!

Will be bringing back industrial amounts as have had lots of requests! Sloe gin from last year is the very best I have ever made I think!! Acetominophen seems to be particularly good for hangovers from red drinks?! Now the nights are drawing in I have a hankering for mulled wine or Pimms No3 made with hot apple juice. Yum. On the last of the Hendricks gin tonight.
