As title says really - are you allowed or is there anywhere to lunge at HOYS? Does it take place when the Exercise time is?

there is an outdoor arena in the stabling area which can be used for lunging and i think from memory is floodlit all night, although you'd be best to do it at the same time as the exercise times, as at all other times there is no where else to warm up so riders will be wanting to use it.

They usually allocate times for ponies to work in seperately from the horses / Show jumpers. BUT normally they only allow 2 ponies at a time to lunge, so you might have to wait your turn. It is worth turning up early for your allocated exercise time and getting first in the queue !!

The outside arena isnt floodlit all night. They close it at tea time and lock the gates around it.
Some of the stewards there allow lunging, others send you out.
You cant lunge in the indoor arenas. xx

we long reined our pony last year around the car park as its really busy and you only get a slot in for warm up as, there is no room, there is an outdoor school by the outdoor stables and no lunging in there, And I am sure your only aloud in there in your slot in time, I will be shocked if you get to lung in there as its so busy, last year up to 20 ponies in there and some big hunters about , that was on wednesday, there is no grasss any where either just hard core
