Hi, im going to bring my mare back in to work next month, any tips on getting rid of her rather large baby belly?? She is six and it was her first foal. Thanks ;D

Just take it very slowly, remember certain parts will still be fairly soft for a while just as with human pregnancies. I will bringing a few of my mares back into work, we will be weaning foals then giving them a month to themselves. Will then start just in walk and introduce the trot back slowly and would probably not attempt any canter work until after christmas. You will find that by next spring when the grass comes in and her coat changes that she will be almost be back to her original shape, but most broodmares will always look a bit deeper than barren mares but this is not necessary a bad thing. Thanks, she is out at grass till next month having some me time! I think she misses work though, cant wait to ride her again!

Two things here one is fitness that means walking for a month trotting for a month and then canter after that and its the cantering that will getting tummy pulled up, its loads of cantering thats all and last years hay.
