I am not competing at HOYS this year but am sooo looking forward to spectating!! My mum and I make a little holiday of it, just the 2 of us, we stay in the Arden hotel from Thurs to Sat. We love waking up to a lovely 'all you can eat breakfast' and discussing what we are going to watch once we get over to the NEC. I am looking forward to watching the Hacks, the Intermediate SHT and SRT and Show Ponies amongst others. I also love the scurry which is on before the show pony championship!!!
I enjoy looking around the trade stands and wishing I could buy the lovely things on show but I usually settle with a bag of Pick N Mix.
Its so nice to catch up with friends from all over the country one last time before the season ends.
What are everybody elses highlights?

I am looking foward to the M & M ridden final on Wednesday & especially watching the NF/Con section and Applewitch Magister The class starts at 7am so I am also looking foward to spending the night in a hotel so we will be there on time ! also looking foward to watching Alex & Kerry Humble on their Connies in the same class . As this is my first and quite possibly only HOYS I can't wait to buy a jumper with my horses name listed on the back - and I'm not normally one for that kind of thing but it will be a treasured memory  Oh, and of course, first or last celebrating just being there in the champagne bar afterwards! (any excuse.....) |
