Adding to the JMB fiasco it was interesting to read in H&H that Tina Cook & William Fox-Pitt were dope tested at the European Championships. Evidently it's much cheaper to dope test the riders than the horses! Is it true that the FEI could introduce that at HOYS?

FEI dope testing of horses and riders is only done in competitions run under FEI rules. I don't think anything at HOYS is anymore. Definitely not any showing classes anyway. Having suffered doing HOYS etc. for many years I think most horse folk would only test positive for alcohol morning, noon or night. The clank of hip flasks in the old Wembley arena during warm up ride in at 6am was deafening. They also used to clank on the turnstiles in the old canteen upstairs where "hair of the dog" was much needed most mornings..... ;-)
