So many of our hearts were filled with sadness when we were told of the death of Dennis Fisher who had been working as a steward at HOYS. Ever cheerful whatever the weather and brave throughout his illness Dennis led by example, was a great friend to so many, a wonderful steward at so many shows iand the best "legger upper" we are likely to experience. Dennis will be sorely missed by all the events he gave up his time for and put so much into. Totally reliable and encouraging to every level of competitor. Much loved by his colleagues at Hickstead, HOYS and elsewhere. Showing has lost a most special person. Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Thank you, Sir for all that you have done for showing.

RIP Dennis, I didnt know him but ultimate respect to him for going out in style, doing what he loved instead of languishing in some hospital bed. No doubt a huge shock for his family but i hope they take comfort in the fact he was doing something he enjoying right to the end.

Such a lovely person who helped me run my charity shows and gave up his time and expertise for free. RIP DENNIS.
