What would it be?
I loved the connemara mare that finished 8th and as for a horse, well I am not a great fan of cobs or coloureds, but every time I see the Humdinger he simply blows my breath away.

i too would take The Humdinger - and would retire him so that when i bring my 4 yr old stallion out next year under saddle, we wont have to compete against him as we will be in the same classes!!!!! Lol!
Just as a seperate question fmm, do you clip his legs or trim them? And do you know how he is bred? He is truly an outstanding cob! And an absolute credit to you all.

No idea on the breeding although we know he came from Ireland. If we could find some of his relatives, believe me we would!!! He does not get much hair on his legs - he is not at all hairy.

They were all gorgeous and although my little pony was a bit naughty for standing still AGAIN i wouldnt have brought any other home instead of him but would have liked to have brought Jack Starkies little darty stallion home as well as him, he went and looked superb. Big well done to the Starkie family. xx

I actually meant to say when I started this thread 'if could take one horse/pony away from HOYS (not including your own) what would it be' but it is nice to know that people really appreciate their own.

It would be to ban the owners of ponies who were dragged around the qualifiers taking HOYS tickets which then didn't enter as the judge didn't like their pony. Taking a place from others is bad form.

I think we took the best one home, she has been to HOYS 4 times and been placed with both my granddaughters every time. The highest she has been placed with both girls is 3rd,Mia was only 4 last year when she was 4th,and she was 3rd this year.Snowy is our little star, she is a childs best friend and has a home for life, and totally home produced.

joules's gorg pony is ceffln llywn snowdrop (sp).....fab lr pony, but the jockey def has ideas on whose in the limelight the most!!! She was working it after her show at hoys! If it was a personality class........she'd win hands down!!
