For goodness sake! Bertie has been ill for around 3 months now, with last week them telling me they found a live mite, after the scraping. They just rang back and told me the lab came back with RINGWORM - not mites at all! He now has to have syrup of some sort - presumably squirted into his mouth! What fun! I am itching all over again and looking at everyone suspiciously for signs of rings!

Nothing to do with cat's (I'm a dog person) My American bulldog got ring worm last year it's a bugger to get rid of, had to bath her everyday with a medicated shampoo, that was fun! Good luck LP it takes ages to go xxx

Actually - It is an oral syrup in a little tiny syringe and AMAZINGLY - I managed his first dose, quite easily! Might not be so easy tonight, when the little monster knows what to expect! LOL

Bertie is still scratching really badly! He is on day 4 of his syrup and he has started going for my eyeballs when I syringe the liquid down his throat! What a DARLING !
On the info, included with the syrup it tells me how RINGWORM in cats is VERY difficult to get rid of! He has to have 7 days of treatment, then 7 days off, 3 times! I wish there was a SHEEPDIP somewhere I could pop him in! LOL
Think I am going to wear my sons swimming goggles to treat him tommorrow!

What a cute picture, Bertie doesn't look too impressed xxx Guess what! My dog has got ringworm again this year, it's in the same place and is about the same time last year that she got it. Vet said not so advance yet and good old canesten cream should do the trick! Maybe I should ask Emmajane if she has any left over LOLxxx

Update - spoke too soon! Bertie was fine whilest having his treatment but as soon as it stopped, back came the itching and the scabs! He has had 3 weeks of treatment, but is still not 100% right!
Back to vets on tuesday to see what else they can do?

Cats!!!! I love them ;D I have recently purchased lime and sulphur dip for my horses leg mites.....but apparently its for cats and dogs too for ear mites and RINGWORM.( get if from vets and word of warning it smells like rotten eggs!!!!! ) Also I used to wrap the cats in a towel to keep claws at bay so I was only ever really dealing with the fangs!!! LOL GOOD LUCK PS/ LOVE the picture LOL
