What is everyones experience of lami? How long did you pony have it for? Did it make a full recovery? Did they ever get it again? Heart bars or not (how long if so)? My has it and just wanted to see other peoples out come of it.

Hi Viklady,
We have got two ponies with lami, the first we bought with it and when he used to get it, he never suffered long before coming back sound again. The second pony we have with it suffered quite bad on and off for years. We tried loads of stuff like the frog supports you can buy and for a long time he had his shoes taken off. We found he had much better support with his front shoes left on and our farrier has done a great job with him. Although his feet do show he has suffered with lami around the toe.
We now manage both ponies really well fed on the correct feed (which we would now never change!) they havent been lame since and both go out with greenguard grazing muzzles even in winter. Both ponies now look great, compete, jump etc.

Hi A friend of mines pony gets it, some times quiet bad, however has had great advise not only from her vets but from Top Spec. She also feeds it on a Global Herbs product I think its called Lami Guard also they are great for advise, It seems its down to a lot of management with these ponies she tells me. Give those companies a ring even if only for some advise and I hope your pony gets better soon
