Mods please could you keep this as a sticky for a few days so everyone see's it?
THE THIEVES ARE BACK!
We are in the lancashire area and last night a close friend of mine had her horsebox stolen from her mums house. They live out in the sticks but someone who obviously knew what they were doing has been checking the situation out. Nobody heard anything but the lorry was round the back of the stables and didnt have to go past the house to get up the drive.
Its a BRIGHT RED 7.5t leyland daf, W reg and was converted by regent horseboxes. If anyone hears or see's anything of this lorry please please PM me.
But everyone please watch out and keep your horsebox secured. This is probably not a one off.

Yep lorry is now back with its owner (pimms), new ignition barrel needed but thankfully nothing taken out of it!
Police where concerned that the thieves had had some horses in the back but no its just pimms' inability to muck a lorry out! lol!! ;D
Everyone please be extra cautious as christmas is on its way and the scrubbers obviously need some cash!!

You can get a devise that immobilizes the engine My friend put one in hers after an attempt was made to steal it.

Yes, we fit immobilisers, battery cut offs and fuel cut outs to all our lorries - and my own also has a movement alarm (goes off if the vehicle moves)For someone to get through all three would take considerable time and hopefully they would have been spotted. How good to hear of a story with a happy ending.
