Have you tried the worming paste? Harder to spit out. Or I used to use the panacur granules in a sachet, mixed with a little tinned cat food.

You need to use STRONGHOLD as that worms them and de-fleas them at the same time! I cannot get a tablet in my PICKLE for all the tea in china! Wouldnt even attempt it with the BENGAL, she is bad enough to get a spot on - on!

But you can only get it on prescriptopn from your vets and if they havent seen it for a year you'll have to take it in and pay for a consultation before they'll give you it! You can get a drontal tablet or a droncit pippette (off the internet) without prescription but the droncit pippete only does tapeworm. I have the same problem with my 7yr old cat who was born ferral. He will take your arm off if you try to do anything to him. Got a tablet form the vet, will he take it NO not likely. So I now have to pay to take him to vets to get a combo! And he wets himself in my car!

Donkeydo couldn't you get your vet to bring something for your cat when he visits horses/ponies. Ours do it all the time and the cat might be sat up a tree but they can honestly say they've seen it and not charge a consultation fee. Your vets sound real money-grabbers, unless they are absolutely fantastic I would be looking to change. There are rules that they have to stick to within reason but yours seem to take things to extremes, a lot of vets will work with you and be flexible.

My horse vets are just horse vets. I sent OH to my vets and got him to ask for spot on wormers for my two female cats that go regulary to the vet! I'm going to treat male ferral cat with theirs and give the females tablets. I know theres rules, but I'm not paying £30 and have him wee in my car just for a wormer.
