Our hand reared feral kitten seems to have a bit of an upset tummy at the moment, although he is happy in himself. His motions are very very soft, although not watery. There is no blood in it either.
I'm trying to cut out food for a day but struggling as the other cats want feeding. The kitten will insist on going out and bringing in mice as well, probably why he has a dodgy tummy!!
Any suggestions?

Try feeding them all on boiled rice or boiled potatoes with chicken or white fish mixed in (you can get cheap blocks of coley from most stores - nothing milk based for a couple of days.

i would starve him for at least 12 hrs if you can then worm and flea them - use either drontal wormer and frontline for fleas which can be obtained from a chemist or vets

I have tried cutting back his food and then feeding him on cooked chicken and mashed potatoes but there seems to be little change. He is, however, still happy and full of fun.

All of my attempts to settle his tummy have not worked and this morning we got up to a runny pile of pooh on the hall carpet, about a yard away from his clean litter tray!!
He has been into the vets (£42!!) and they didn't seem too concerned, weren't interested in the 'sample' I took, asked the usual questions about worming etc and gave him a worming tablet, some Protexin and a few antibiotic tablets.
He is still very fit and healthy in himself so time will tell.

My puppy had poorly tummy for ages. Had loads of wormers/anti-biotics/etc etc from the vet, nothing worked. After a long time- as a last ditch attempt, put her on BURNS dry dog food for dogs with sensitive tummies and she has never looked back!
They do cat food too? Just a thought - if things dont improve?

Thanks, Lovepink. We already feed Purely which contains no milk products and is normally excellent, as we had a similar problem with the feral we had last year for a while. Lets hope this stuff works, it cost enough!!

My GSD pup cost me nealry £1000 to keep alive! Not had time to insure her either!
She is just lovely now and plays with my cat Bertie, who she grew up with!

I have had this with my 3 kittens, now fully grown cats, not feral though, had them on chicken and rice for weeks to "dry " them up and it did work, found now they have to have only Iams dried cat food as anything else will set the "runs" off again, I know it expensive but I bulk buy when it's on offer, currently on offer at Tesco 3KG for £9.00 as opposed to £13. odds and works out that they go through a 3KG bag every 2 weeks, so even at full price not bad for feeding 3
edited to add fully grown cats now
