Hi Everyone, I actually joined a while back but have kept my head down pretty much, have just thought sod it, I'll say hello and introduce myself. As the title indicates I have a LW show cob. This is my first season showing so I am for want of a better phrase 'bricking it'. Luckily the aforementioned cob has been there and done it so hopefully I won't die on my first venture into the ring. It may happen on the second try but hey who's complaining

Welcome! I am involved in the show pony world and I remember my first season, I loved every minute, was as nervous as hell each time my ponies entered the ring and I wasn't even on them! Any win was fantastic and the whole thing was so magical. The first time I had a win at BSPS champs it was completely unexpected and I will never forget that amazing, unbelievable feeling. Since then I have had some lovely wins, met some fantastic people and yes, suffered some real lows, but this is part and parcel of the game. 20 years on I still get that goosepimply feeling when I hope I have found another star. Please, please enjoy yourself, chat to the cob people they are a good bunch and I hope your first season is the start of many to come.

Thanks Daphne that's really nice of you to say. I'm totally throwing myself into this with the ambition to enjoy myself. My friend who has been showing since she was in the womb is teaching me not just about the riding and horse care side of things but the importance of enjoying myself and putting 100% in which means that regardless of where I am down the line as long as I put 100% in she'll be happy with me. Which I think is a really good way to think! Thanks for your kind words Daphne x.
