You can hire the builders security fencing if you only need it short term, google bulders fencing and it comes up x

Hokay this is my job (security fencing). Yes you can hire it at approx £2 per week per panel. You dont say where you are but if you PM me I will let you know the nearest one to you. But beware. You will be charged the retail price for any damages (approx £28 per panel) and they are easy for a horse to damage. You can alternatively buy it 2nd hand from the companies at about £15 per panel. You would need about 20 to make a round/lunge pen. They are very useful to have around. All our stallion paddocks are fenced with them. We do also have a round pen made from a sturdier type of panel which is brilliant and used for everything from working to restricting turnout after injury and for laminitics. It is light and easy to move but solid when up. If you were interested in one of those I can also point you in the right direction. Although they retail at about £800 they are worth their weight in gold. Ours is 2 years old now and used daily and moved around the farm as we need it. Hope it helps

We've got a solid sided permanent round pen & I was surprised that occasionally you hear them clunk their hooves against it for a stride or two if they loose their balance on a circle - I wouldn't like anything to clunk the side of builders fencing & doesn't it have those big floor blocks that stick out sideways to hold it up?? Hubby is in construction and he advised against it so built me a proper one instead....
You could make one out of those large straw bales, they can't see out so have to focus on you & they would probably be pretty safe?? Would have to plan a doorway though!! Just an idea....
