My horse got a sting last summer and has been left with a small lump on his knee. The vet said it could take up to a year to go down and that if it doesn't go down they might be able to drain it. A year on and it hasn't gone so we got the vet out to have another look at it, however the lump has gone hard so can't be drained. The vet then explained that to have laser treatment is another option, so I was just wondering if anybody has any experience with laser treatment and what they think of it, and most of all whether it worked for you ?!

My mare had an overectomy and she had a big lump on both her sides, where they had cut her. I hired a laser from the vets and the lumps totally dissapeared after about a week. Its very boring and has to be done 2 or 3 times a day.
Results are fab!

We have used laser in the past and works very well. We now have our own but before we invested in one we actually bought a cheap laser pen from the internet (about a fiver) and used that. You need to check the frequency of the laser with the vet first.

I have used laser therapy on a variety of injuries and found it to be fantastic.
