edited- Not an out and out guard dog, but a loyal dog that can also fit in with the family (young child and other dog visit our house daily). Will have boot room and roaming of yard at night, barker a necessity to make an impression!
In short, a dog that'll help me feel confident outside in the dark...
Wanted please, guard dog to patrol yards at night, with access to warm shelter etc. Needs to be ok with cats and have loud bark! Based near Basingstoke so reasonable distance please.

Not yet, only just started looking this morning. Other half won't have a rottie or doberman. Are there websites for police dog rejects?

The only info on police dog rejects/retired ones I could find was that they are generally advertised and rehomed via the police intranet.
Highhill- you are fairly local to me, please could you bear me in mind if you hear of an older pup or even a new litter that have been brought up in a family farm envrionment. thanks x
