The following has been emailed to me from my riding club committee. Any news, please pm me so I may pass on. Thankyou:
Hi All, A friend horse has been stolen whilst her other one was killed 10 days ago! Suzy - can you please send this out to all of the members and everyone else circulate to all that you know! Please can everyone be on the lookout for a 15.3hh Fresian x Cob, 12 years gelding, trace clip currently, taken without consent. May be very distressed as he recently lost his companion and has now been removed from everything he knew. Cannot give full details due to legal case continuing but if you know of his whereabouts (JACOB) please PM me!! Taken today at 15.30pm ish by Red discovery and trailer.
Whoever has him on their field/land will more than likely not be aware of the circumstances that surround his removal.
He has been taken with day rug and has not got any of his normal heavier rugs with him, owner is very worried about his welfare and well being and obviously very distressed.
If you spot a big black fresian x cob popping up in your area please let me know!!!
He was stolen yesterday from Goring Heath. Thanks and lets try and find this one, Kerri x

At least he has not been stolen by an unknown and goodness only knows where. It must be heart breaking for the main carer.

An odd one this, we were not informed by the riding club in the email of the background to this. It may perhaps not be appropriate for us to be looking out for him as they Police are involved anyway.
I shall copy that news article and send it to RC secretary if I may and perhaps a moderator could decide if the thread should remain.
Thanks for the further information.

its such a shame when these things happen, someone being spiteful. i know how there feeling were still waiting for the return of our pony, and have to do it through the courts and right now i do not have the money to fight, the police just do not get involved and say take it to court, its not as simple as that. what if the person decided to have it shoot out of spite too. we had a horse shoot this week and they did not even ask to see its passport and we may not of been it owner, how sad is that. i feel for you and hope justice is done no matter how long it takes i hope you get ya horse back. good luck and do not give up.
