This is an honest post to find a new home for a talented but quirky Sec A Dun mare, 10yrs, registered, Bengad breeding both sides by Tiverton Timmie.
We found Goldie through a dealer friend, mane down to her knees etc, being sold as a showjumping pony. We thought with correct schooling and handling she would make a top class WHP. We bought her in Feb/March this year and have struggled to give her the time she needs due to having three other ponies, plus to be honest, thought we could easily bring her round to our way of thinking!
We have shown her at mainly local level and she won nearly every time out. She has wonderful movement and really catches the eye BUT although she sometimes does a foot perfect show she can throw her head around. She has had her teeth and back done. She is vaccinated.
She does not buck, rear, nap, bite or kick. She is nervous and quick and has I think been beaten about a bit. I think she would be an ideal broodmare as she has no real temperament problems, just her past man made history...
She looks very very similar to Vinedale Vixen - they could be sisters and goes like her too - but Goldie is too quirky for my daughter.
We paid £1800 for her and have spent about £1500 on schooling etc. Its a great shame that I am throwing in the towel but our financial postition means I cant keep funding a pony that does not easily fit in with us.
Any breeders out there that may be interested in her? She underwent an internal examination recently and everything looks OK re ovaries etc.
We are situated near Malvern (Junction 7 M5 about 8 miles away). She's been turned away now and is sold rough from the field. She is a proper yellow dun with black points, three whites and a blaze.
Home really is very important - priced for breeding home at £400
