The company I work for already makes a very successful range of lambswool Showing numnahs, but we recently bought out a new range of very high wither (just quilted) numnahs and saddle pads in GP, dressage and jumping shapes.. We've been very pleasantly surprised how well the new range are selling and wondered if we should add very high wither showing numnahs to the range? Do you think there is a market for them? We would probably do 5 sizes to get a good fit. If not do you think it would be a good idea to do 'normal wither' just quilted showing numnahs? (Edited post as it was a bit confusing lol) Thanks

the dressage fraternity, are the client base to go for, the dutch bred dressage horses (blu hors) tend to have high withers. Check out -morgan equine- and derbyhouse websites. good luck!

Sorry I think my post was a bit confusing
We already do dressage, GP and jumping numnahs and saddle pads in the new high wither range. Also do posh showing ones with british lambswool lining with normal wither shaping
It's really a question of whether its worth doing Showing ones in very high wither or not. I'm in two minds about it.

I like the hi wither nuu-med ones for everyday, even though my horses just have withers, not particularly high ones. It ensures the numnah does not go onto the backbone, but fits beautifully up the gullet/channel of the saddle. In fact I am looking for some at the moment on ebay!

I have just sold a high wither Nu Med numnah on ebay, sheepskin lined. I won it in a comp and used it on a part bred arab pony simply because it slotted in nicely into the gullet.
I sold it because I know only have natives and they don't need wool taking up any saddle space as they are so wide.
If I were looking for another, I think Nu Med have cornered the market and I would buy from them. The one I sold was absolutely immaculate despite being reasonably well used so I think they are worth the money.

If not do you think it would be a good idea to do 'normal wither' just quilted showing numnahs? I've been trying to find a quilted one without wool in black but have been struggling so would definately be interested! I know nuumed do them, but they appear to be very hard to track down!
